Aijani Payne (b. Hampton, VA) is a Brooklyn based photographer. He studied photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Shooting for publications and brands his images consist of distinct coloring and abstract posing of his subjects. Take his solo exhibition in 2019 “Everything but high fashion” which presents a series of abstract macro shots of everyday surroundings that are not focused on enough but have absurd amounts of beauty. The title of the show refers to how Aijani is not a photographer who focuses on just fashion but an artist who is taking steps of presenting the abstract world he views.
